Recruiting - Linux Sysadmin

UKDedicated are an established and respected provider of managed hosting solutions, based in Hemel Hempstead.

We are looking to recruit a Supprt / Linux Systems Administrator to engage and develop with the on-going expansion of our business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our clients and performing technical facility work such as hardware and software deployment and infrastructure management.

The role is based at our primary datacentre - Centro, Hemel Hempstead. Overtime will be available and participation in an on-call rota will be required. Due to our presence at various other datacentre facilities, some travel and working elsewhere may be required.

The following key skills are essential to succeed in this role:

-          An excellent standard of written and spoken English with a polite and friendly manner
-          A strong desire and ability to learn independently and from others
-          Proven experience in a customer support roll
-          Well-developed problem solving abilities
-          Full UK Driving licence
-          Strong Knowledge of computer hardware
-          Good Knowledge of Linux operating systems
-          Working knowledge of HTTP, DNS, SSH, and other Internet protocols
-          Working knowledge of common Internet applications such as Apache, Exim and mySQL

Desirable skills:

-          Experience with cPanel/WHM
-          Experience with Windows Server 2008
-          Experience with virtualised environments
-          Experience of networking such as data cabling and VLANs
