Do I need to Install UKDedicated JShop Server?
No! When ordered the UKDedicated JShop Server will be fully installed and working.

What is the UKDedicated JShop Server?
The UKDedicated JShop Server is a fully supported and Hosted version of JShop, a high-end shopping cart e-commerce system written in PHP and utilising mySQL databases. It has advanced features such as stock control, customer accounts, gift certificates, advanced pricing options, in-built logs and reporting, search engine detection and search engine safe links, full tax and shipping, and in-built order management system.

Can JShop Server integrate with payment gateways?
Yes, please see the ‘Feature list’ section of the website for a full list of supported gateways. If your gateway is not listed then please contact us.

Can I take credit card details directly with JShop Server?
Yes, but not on the shared hosted solution. Contact us for pricing on this.

Who updates the UKDedicated JShop Server?
We do! You don’t need to worry about applying complicated security updates to your UKDedicated JShop installed, we perform these for you.

Do I have to pay for updates to the UKDedicated JShop?
No! The UKDedicated JShop will be kept up to date as long as you hold the account with us.

I don’t like the professional website templates can I create my own?
You can indeed. The UKDedicated JShop server runs on a very powerful template system. Contact us for more information.

Can we use more than 1 domain for our shop?
If you for example own http://www.yourname.com and yourname.co.uk you are able to point these and display the same content at no extra charge.

Can I upload my own header image/other images to make the site look like my own?
Yes! You can do this from the admin interface.

Can you customise the site for us?
We can’t, sorry. However we have a list of fantastic designers who will be more than happy to do the work for you.

Can I see a demonstration of the UKDedicated JShop Server?

Can I make my own backups of our site?
Yes, you are able to do this from our Control Panel.

Do we get webmail / email address with our package?
You get full POP/IMAP and Webmail email accounts with our hosting packages.

How often do you backup our site?
We backup the server 8 times a day to an off-site location.

Is the hosting PCI Compliant?
Yes, it’s fully PCI Compliant.

Can I add options to products?
We allow you to add check boxes, select boxes and radio button options to products in your store. In addition to this you can make some of the options only visible to certain customer types, each option can have a price associated with it, and a different product code, weight and stock level should you need it. You can also exclude certain combinations of options.

Is this product supported by JShop?
Yes, the UKDedicated JShop is a joint project between both companies. We are provided with updated versions of JShop which will be installed. UKDedicated are the point of contact for all support issues.

Can I sell to both the public and wholesale?
Yes. The UKDedicated JShop includes advanced customer management with completely configurable account levels. Each account level can have set default discounts and display settings. In addition to this the customer management integrates seamlessly with products and sections allowing you to turn off products or sections from some customer account types, set different pricing on products, allow different payment methods or shipping methods. You can even go down to the product variation level and only allow some variations depending on the customer account type.

I want to change the template I use on the site do I need to start again?
You can change the template at any time via the admin control panel, you will not lose any products or information entered. If you do actually wish to start again though then please contact support - we can have your account reset for you.

Can products be shown in more than one section?
Yes! You can quickly and easily show products in as many different sections of your store as you would like to.

Is UKDedicated JShop Server multi-language?
Yes, please contact us for specific details on this.

Is the UKDedicated JShop multi-currency?
JShop Server is fully multi-currency. Currencies can be entered directly or calculated via. exchange rates and you can have as many currencies available in your store as you like.

Does the UKDedicated JShop support several administration logins?
Yes, you can setup various different logins for different staff allowing each various levels of access.

Can customers search for products?
Yes, it includes a feature-rich search function. This allows you to select which fields should be searched on when a customer does a search, whether or not the system should search sections as well and an option to automatically forward the customer to a product page if there search only finds one product. In addition the front end has an advanced search facility that allows the customer to limit pricing and change the order of results. Of course all search results pages have buttons for ordering by product code, product name and price.

Can I associate items for cross-selling?
Yes, you can present other products a customer might be interested in on product pages. In addition the software also includes a ‘Recommended Products’ feature that examines the order database to see what other products people who brought the viewed product also purchased and will display these as well.
