VMware Continuity

Continue running your VMware environment with confidence

Broadcom is cutting over 90% of VMware cloud service providers, leaving many organisations reassessing how their infrastructure is licensed, supported and managed. UKDedicated provides a stable, supported path forward for brownfield VMware environments, helping you maintain continuity while modernising at your own pace.

Brownfield Infrastructure

A practical approach to modernising existing environments

Many organisations are now balancing the need to modernise infrastructure with the operational reality of maintaining existing environments. In many cases, VMware estates have evolved over years and sit at the centre of critical applications, customer services and internal platforms. Replatforming those environments immediately can introduce unnecessary complexity, cost and operational risk.

Our approach is designed around continuity first. Rather than forcing disruptive infrastructure change, we help organisations stabilise and support brownfield VMware environments while creating a clear path towards future evolution. That may involve maintaining infrastructure in its current location, moving towards a dedicated private cloud model, or gradually transitioning workloads over time.

Whatever the starting point, the goal remains the same: reduce disruption, maintain operational stability and keep your options open.

Deployment Options

Infrastructure designed around your environment

UKDedicated provides multiple deployment models for organisations running VMware-based infrastructure, allowing environments to evolve without forcing unnecessary migration or wholesale redesign.

For some organisations, maintaining infrastructure within their existing datacentre or operational footprint is the right approach. Others may prefer to transition into a dedicated hosted environment while preserving familiar architectures and operational workflows.

Our platform supports both approaches, combining dedicated infrastructure, managed services and flexible deployment models with the operational support required to manage evolving VMware environments confidently.

Environment Typical Use Case
Edge Cloud Maintain infrastructure within your own environment
Private Cloud Dedicated hosted VMware infrastructure
Shared Cloud Flexible environments for scalable workloads

FAQs

Common questions about VMware Continuity

  • Will we lose our customers?

No. You retain full ownership of every customer relationship, contract and invoice. We operate entirely in the background. We have no direct contact with your customers and no commercial interest in them.

  • Will we lose control of the VMware platform?

No. You continue to manage and operate your VMware environment, workloads and customer configurations as you do today. We provide the underlying infrastructure and licensing so you can stay in control of the platform.

  • Will you become our competitor?

No. Our business model is built around supporting resellers, not selling direct. We have no route to market for end customers and no interest in building one. Your customer relationships stay yours.

  • Can we continue delivering VMware services with you?

Yes, and that’s the point. You continue delivering VMware-based services to your customers under your own brand, pricing and contracts. We provide the platform behind the scenes.

  • What is your role vs ours?

You own the customer, the contract and the billing relationship. You manage the VMware platform and support your customers. We provide the datacentre, hardware, VMware licensing and the underlying infrastructure that makes it all run.

  • What happens to our existing hardware and investments?

We can work around your existing hardware position. Depending on where you are in your asset cycle, we can accommodate a transition that avoids forcing you to write off current investments before you’re ready.

  • Can you deploy in our own datacentre?

Yes. Our Edge Cloud option places the infrastructure within your existing datacentre or server room. You retain physical control of your environment while we manage the base infrastructure and licensing.

  • What transition period can we expect?

That depends on your current setup, contracts and customers. We work to a timetable that fits your business. We can be flexible and there’s no requirement to migrate everything at once.

  • When do we need to sign by?

The Broadcom deadline is 31 March 2027, but a well-managed transition takes time. The earlier you start the conversation, the more options you have and the less pressure there is on the migration itself.
